The French press brewing method is known for its full-bodied results and rich flavor profiles. French press directly immerses coffee grounds in hot water, making bean selection crucial for the perfect cup.
French Press
- Ratio: 1:15 (e.g. 20 g coffee, 300g water)

Water Temp: 195 - 205 degrees depending on roast level (lower temp for darker roasts)
Brew Instructions
- Pre heat french press, discard water
- Place ground coffee into french press
- Place French press on scale and tare
- Pour water continuously over coffee to reach your total weight, making sure all coffee gets wet
- Place lid with plunger just above the coffee bed (do not press)
- At 4 min, remove lid, and use a spoon to submerge all coffee grinds
- Again place plunger just above the coffee bed
- At minute 8 press softly and serve
- Enjoy!

The French press is great for bringing out the rich flavors in your coffee. For the best taste, go with medium to dark roast Arabica beans—they usually hit that sweet spot between flavor and smoothness. If you like a bolder cup or plan to add milk or sugar, an Arabica-Robusta blend works too and gives your brew a bit more punch. Our recommendations:
